Permanent makeup, also known as ‘permanent cosmetics’, works through the impregnation of coloured pigments into the skin using tiny microneedles. The colour of these hypoallergenic pigments is decided by you, and once applied, will appear just like traditional makeup.

Permanent makeup is the process of placing coloured pigments into the dermal layer of the skin. These pigments are made from natural iron oxides and are hypoallergenic.

Permanent makeup eliminates the need for an eyebrow pencil and subtly enhances your eyebrow. It can be used to correct the shape of the brow, fill in gaps or simply enhance a sparse or too light eyebrow. The effect is very natural as a hair simulation technique is used; this also makes it a great solution for those with no eyebrow hair at all.

Around the eyes, it can be used to create subtle or dramatic eyeliner in a variety of colours or enhance the eyelashes.

Your lips can be enhanced with a natural-looking lip liner or a full lip colour can be applied.

Scars can be improved and areola tissue re-coloured after breast surgery.

The colour will remain visible for several years, depending on individual skin type, age, colour choice and lifestyle. After a few years, the colour will begin to lose its vibrancy so a touch-up treatment every 1-2 years is recommended.

Due to the use of topical anaesthetics before and during procedure, there is a very limited amount of discomfort during treatment.

Every precaution is taken during treatment to ensure safety and comfort for the client. Safety is our priority and we only use sterile, disposable equipment.

The client is consulted every step of the way and approves the selection of shape and colour before the procedure begins.

The area may appear slightly red and swollen directly after treatment; the colour will also appear to be too dark or very intense. This will last for a few days, although swelling usually goes down within 2 days. The colour will take about 1 week to lighten and look more natural. Complete healing will take 4-6 weeks during which the true colour will emerge.

You should avoid applying makeup for the 24 hours following treatment and we recommend using only minimal makeup for the first week. After this point, however, it is safe to resume using makeup as usual.

The degree of permanency varies with each individual. The shade or tone of the pigment may alter gradually over a period of time. To maintain your permanent makeup, you will need regular top ups.
